Keep your rest time shorter, 75-90 secs, more volume per set, 20-30 rep range.
Take-home tips:
1) When you hit the brakes, focus on things that aren't taxing but give a benefit. aggressive speed work and 20-30 reps low rest.
2) Challenge yourself on good days from behavioural and personality perspective. Be open about what you suck at with yourself and training partners. Focus on that because it's going to be more mentally draining to focus on things you suck at.
