How To Enter

To enter, create or log in to your account at www.officialstrongman.com and enter your result & video evidence in your profile in the events section. 

It is very important that you update your profile with your date of birth, location, gender, bodyweight and selected category. 
You will not show up in the rankings unless all of these fields are populated.

Select the category you wish to compete in via your profile, you do not need to weigh-in for any of the qualfying videos

Account creation requires a membership subscription that can be cancelled at any time.

As part of your subscription you will also gain access to our comprehensive video library and upcoming live streams.

You will need to complete your best efforts for the following 4 events and upload your results with video evidence to your profile following the rules exactly.

Each event can be completed separately and must be completed adhering to the following rules. All performances must be completed between July 1st & August 31st 2024.

Events

Log 2 Rep Max

Athlete will perform a log clean and press 2 times for maximum weight within 60 seconds. 

-- Video Requirements: --
  • Video must be one continuous shot.
  • Immediately before or after the press is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
    • Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the log to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
    • Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
  • The log must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
-- Rules: --
  • Log can be cleaned from the ground or from pads below knees.
  • For the lift to count, feet must be in line with each other and head must be in line with the arms. Elbow, knees, and hips must be locked out and stable.
  • Log can be any size or type but must be a diameter between 10in/25cm - 13in/33cm.
  • All supportive gear is allowed.
  • Press, push press, push jerk, and split jerk allowed.
  • Implement cannot touch your head at any point.
  • Each rep must begin from the ground or pads.

Your score is the weight of the log in LBS or KG.

Axle Deadlift 1 Rep Max

Athlete will perform a conventional deadlift with an axle 1 time for maximum weight.

  • Video must be one continuous shot.
  • Immediately before or after the deadlift is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
    • Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the bar to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
    • Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
  • The axle must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
-- Rules: --
  • Axle must be at least 1.9in/4.8cm.
  • Deadlift height must be from standard size weight plates and from the ground without pads.
  • For the lift to count, athlete must demonstrate full lockout with their hips and knees locked out, and their shoulders neutral.
  • All supportive gear is allowed. (Including deadlift suits)
  • Straps and chalk are allowed.
  • Dropping the bar from the top at lockout is NOT allowed. (You must have control on the way down. Your knees and hips must release before your hands.)
  • Sumo is NOT allowed. (Hands must be wider than knees)

Your score is the weight of the deadlift in LBS or KG.

Sandbag Carry for Rounds within 60 Seconds

Athlete will pick up from the ground and carry a sandbag 20ft/6m and drop it. The athlete will then repeat this process back and forth for as many rounds as possible within 60 seconds.

  • Video must be one continuous shot.
  • Immediately before or after the lift is performed, the sandbag weight and course distance must be confirmed on camera.
  • The sandbag must be weighed on video to confirm weight.

  • Sandbag weight must be within 5lb/2.27kg of the following weights for your division:
    • 308.5lb/140kg Sandbag
      • Mens - Open
    • 264.5lb/120kg Sandbag
      • Mens - 105kg
      • Mens Masters 40+
      • Mens - 90kg
    • 220.5lb/100kg Sandbag
      • Mens Masters 40+ - 105kg
      • Mens - 80kg
      • Mens Masters 50+
    • 176.5lb/80kg Sandbag
      • Womens - Open
      • Womens - 82kg
      • Womens - 73kg
      • Womens Masters 40+
    • 132.5lb/60kg Sandbag
      • Womens Masters 40+ LW - 73kg
      • Womens - 64kg
      • Womens Masters 50+
  • Sandbag must be a standard cylinder shape and style.
  • Sandbag must start from the ground.
  • All supportive gear is allowed.

Your score is the number of rounds completed within 60 seconds.

Max Weight Yoke Carry for 20ft/6m within 60 Seconds

Athlete will pick up from the ground and carry a yoke 20ft/6m for maximum weight within 60 seconds.

-- Video Requirements: --
  • Video of the Yoke carry must be one continuous shot, but the weighing of the yoke can be a separate video spliced to the beginning or the end of the video. (This allows a gym to weigh the yoke once and share that video for athletes to add to their videos)
  • Immediately before or after the yoke carry is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
    • Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the yoke to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
    • Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
  • The yoke must be weighed on video to confirm weight.

  • No touching, dropping, or sliding allowed.
  • Once picked up, the yoke is not allowed to touch the ground at any point during the 20ft/6m carry.
  • All supportive gear is allowed.

Your score is the weight of the yoke in LBS or KG.

Selection Process

The top 10 ranking athletes for each category will be selected and emailed an invitation.

Roll down may occur if athletes do not accept their invitation.

Guidelines for video production

  1. We suggest loading the bar with the correct weight before starting to record to reduce video length
  2. If possible, have someone film for you
  3. Suggested quality is high definition (720p, 1080i, or 1080p)
  4. DO NOT FILM IN 4K or higher: This will create large files with long upload times or too big to be uploaded
  5. Give the video file a unique name with no special characters
  6. We suggest watching your video on the site to ensure it has uploaded correctly

Rules & Regulations

  1. Entering this competition is done so at your own risk and by doing so you confirm that you understand the risks involved and will consult a medical professional if you have any health condition or are in any doubt about your suitability to perform the required activity.
  2. Results & video evidence can only be submitted through the website by logging into your account and using the “Enter Result” feature found on your profile page.
  3. No results or video evidence may be entered or submitted after the deadline of the competition. Please don’t wait until the last minute to submit.
  4. No results or videos will be validated before the end of the competition period; it is your responsibility to ensure your performance and video evidence meets all criteria as laid out in this document.
  5. Video evidence: Must be clearly legible and continuous, demonstrating all of the following in the correct order: Completing the activity, clearly weighing the equipment if necessary. 
  6. Prize/qualifying winning entries will be reviewed by an experienced judge and result adjusted if deemed necessary. Judge’s decision is final.
  7. The competition is open to all Official Strongman members age 16 or over. Employees, officers, directors and sub-contractors of Official Strongman Worldwide Ltd or their immediate family can participate but are not eligible for cash prizes.
  8. We reserve the right to request additional evidence/verification of your performance in whatever manner/format we deem fit.
  9. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker event will be conducted at our full discretion.
  10. We reserve the right to modify these rules, regulations and terms at any time without notice
  11. You hereby grant full permission to Official Strongman to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising.
