Overhead Anyhow

Closes: 07/01/2015 10:28 AM View Rankings
This is a Clean + Jerk or Clean + Push Press movement.

This test is out of the World of Olympic Weightlifting but with a Strongman Rules.

That means it can be a little ugly, as long as it gets to the locked out overhead position.

This is a max weight contest.

This means you start with the bar below the knees and take it to overhead to a locked out position with whatever technique you wish.?

You must use an olympic sized bar. So a 20kg bar for men and women. Women can use a 15kg bar. You can use a strict press, push press, also all varieties of jerks, snatches, etc are allowed. As long as you lock out overhead, and have your feet stationary with locked out legs in line then it's a good lift.

The head must come through at the end so that eyes face forward. Aside from safety, form/style is unimportant. Use of neoprene knee/elbow sleeves or dual ply knee/elbow sleeves is allowed. Belt is allowed.
